The session will present as a moderated panel on the experiences of the roll-out of Social Equity Programs as part of Adult Use Licensing. We will be discussing the experiences of Social Equity as a promise and a reality from different locations.

The inclusion of Social Equity applicants and licenses in the licensing of Adult Use cannabis entities is present in every state’s legislation. This session will explore the promises of the legislation and the realities of how this aspect of licensing has been rolled out.

The speakers represent Illinois, one of the first adult-use states, and New York City, a location that is currently in the trenches of issuing licenses.
